Why your cycle affects your sleep
Sleep isn't static across the month. Estrogen and progesterone both influence sleep the structure of how you move through light sleep, deep sleep, and REM (the dreaming stage of sleep) across the night. When those hormones shift, sleep tends to shift with them.
